Initially we wanted to climb to the top allowed but we have been recomended this trekking trip instead which turned to be even better. There are some areas with a medium climbing difficulty but it was worth it. Our tour guide Pier was amazing, we really enjoyed having him, he knows a lot of interesting things and even in detail, he was friendly and answered all our curriousites.

Great trip The sites were well chosen. Our guide was excellent. Well paced to sample significant sites. Great English skills and an excellent lunch provided. A lot of history in an understandable presentation.

We had the best time going around Etna. Our tour guide Guiseppe was very knowledgeable and we were really impressed with his ‘Sicilian English’ He constantly kept us informed of the key things to note about Etna and was patient for us to look around each point. Taking us up to one of the high craters was a key highlight, and the views were incredible - a truly once in a lifetime experience 🙏🏼.

Ludovica the organiser was very helpful and communicated well with us before we arrived in Sicily and even sent us a map of the key things to see in Catania. Etnavic are a great company!

Our guide, Diego, was so knowledgeable and friendly, and he was happy to take lots of photos of us as we stood atop a crater. It was amazing to hear all about the history of the volcano and its relationship with the land and the people of Catania and the villages around, and to see the landscape and the lava tubes and rounding the whole experience off with the opportunity to sample local produce. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants an up close and personal encounter with Etna! read less
